Description

New Nuclear power has been effectively banned in Scotland since 2007 because of long-standing Scottish Government policy.

But Europe is turning to new nuclear energy as a reliable source of low-carbon power and a boost to jobs and investment. Scotland risks being left behind.

With England and Wales exploring the next generation of reactors, how can we ensure Scotland doesn’t miss out on the jobs, investment and clean power that new nuclear power could bring?

Join us for a panel event to discuss how we can convince the Scottish Government to back new nuclear energy in Scotland.

Panel:

Robert Deavy - GMB Scotland Senior Organiser

Lincoln Hill - Director of Policy and External Affairs, Nuclear Industry Association (NIA)

Sam Richards - Campaign Director, Britain Remade
