No one should be shocked at latest MPI construction data

Responding to the latest PMI construction statistics, Sam Richards CEO of pro-growth campaign group Britain Remade, said:

“No one should be shocked at yet another set of dismal numbers showing the British construction sector struggling. A broken planning system that takes years to grant approvals, piles on endless delays, and inflates costs at every turn is guaranteed to keep the industry mired in stagnation.

“If we're serious about delivering genuinely affordable housing, upgraded infrastructure, and real investment that creates jobs while slashing energy costs for homes and companies, the government needs to bulldoze through the roadblocks holding developers back. That means radically speeding up planning decisions, scrapping pointless bureaucracy, and establishing a system where shovel ready projects can break ground in months instead of years.
