Sign the petition: Lift the ban on new Scottish nuclear power
The Scottish Government is opposed to new nuclear power in Scotland. As planning decisions are devolved, this amounts to a ban on building one of the cleanest and most reliable sources of energy in Scotland.
Torness nuclear power station is Scotland's last remaining operational Nuclear Power Station, and the most productive clean energy asset Scotland has ever had - but unless something changes, Scotland's nuclear energy industry ends when Torness is switched off in 2030.
With countries across Europe exploring new cheaper and faster-to-build nuclear technology, Scotland risks being left behind.
Tell politicians across Scotland to lift this ban and recognise the jobs, investment and clean power new nuclear energy could bring.
